* OH MY TOASTED MUFFINS IT’S... DAY NINE OF PANDAMONIUM '17! * * TALL TREE 6FT MAN + CHRIS HORNSBY + LEAONE + SHAMA LIGHTEN UP DALSTON… * * …ON TUESDAY JANUARY 17TH 2017! * It's as traditional as burst pipes, bulging waistlines and busted bank accounts, and it's heading back to kick off 2017. Every year fierce panda records joins furces with friends Club Fandango and Disorder Promotions to shake off the lost pine needles of Christmastime with a slew of new bands for the New Year under the Pandamonium banner.
Ipso facto, Pandamonium '17 runs from January 3rd to the 17th across various London venues and features excellent acts with exquisite names like Fightmilk, Wooden Arms, Man Made, Coquin Migale, Piano Wire, ALMA, A Lily, Purs, October Drift, Tear and Sean Grant & The Wolfgang, as you can see at www.clubfandango.co.uk/news.php?id=895
PANDAMONIUM ’17: DAY NINE TALL TREE 6FT MAN (onstage 10.00pm) is primarily Jonathan Czerwik, a Cambridge-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Anyone with working ears should be able to detect hints of fellow Cambridge men Pink Floyd, with perhaps some of Rufus Wainwright's more tender moments. You may remember the TT6FTTM track 'Tears And Laughter' which was featured on the hit Fox TV show 'Bones' causing a stir with its US audience. https://www.facebook.com/Tall-tree-6ft-man-191389544247183/ CHRIS HORNSBY (onstage 9.15pm) works with things he can strum, blow, hit, kick and shake, creating an authentic sound with traces of folk, Americana and laidback rock. His songs are suffused with imagery and rich with modern storytelling. www.facebook.com/chrishornsby LEAONE (onstage 8.30pm) a smouldering new talent from Suffolk, Leaone is ostensibly one man with a deep, rich vocal sound which has seen him described as the missing link between Leonard Cohen and Lana Del Ray. Expect an EP on fierce panda in the spring, featuring the solemn grandeur of ‘Goldtooth’. www.facebook.com/hisnameisleaone SHAMA (onstage 7.45pm) is a multi-faceted musical creator who blends jazz, folk and spoken word material with classical expressionism and urban rhythms. Tonight is an intimate acoustic set from a performer with a wide-angled musical lens. www.facebook.com/shamarahmanmusic
