The Truth: Brummie psychrock powerhousers SOLAR EYES celebrate the end of the so-called summer by taking a deep trip by taking 'Deep Trip' off their self-titled debut album to tie in with a UK tour and German shows - full dates below. “I was inspired after watching ‘True Detective’ - the second series, where the girl is playing in the bar," explains singing guitarist Glenn Smyth. "It has a Pink Floyd feel too...the guitar at the end is epic and possibly my favourite song on the album."

The stellar creation of Glenn and Sebastian Maynard Francis, the ‘Solar Eyes’ album finds the duo delivering a suite of technicoloured tunes that stretch across acid-dipped sonic landscapes and blissed-out melodies. Recalling trippy trailblazers from Primal Scream to the Chemical Brothers, Spacemen 3 to Spector-ish productions, these 12 psych-dappled songs stimulate the senses and envelop you in their pop-preened charms. Formed in 2021, Solar Eyes have since drawn crowds at tastemaker events like SXSW and The Great Escape and released a slew of warmly received singles and three EP. Earning praise from the likes of Steve Lamacq (BBC6 Music) and John Kennedy (Radio X) at radio, plus The Observer and Louder Than War at press, the band have also seen their music featured on renowned TV programmes including Match of the Day and Football Focus.
