THE BURMA TRAIL (onstage 9.30pm) are velvety poets of the emotional shadowlands disguised as a playful four-piece rock band from North London. Singer Joseph Tennant writes with the assurance of a late Eighteenth century aesthete novelist reincarnated as a Hackney bedroom scribbler, and sets his rain-washed reflections amongst beautifully crafted valve rattling riffs and hooks.
