NYC's broodiest exponents of harrowing leftfield rock THE WALKMEN have announced half a dozen UK dates for the autumn starting at the mighty London ULU on October 28th - see the panda gig guide for fulsome details. The brooding quintet are the latest arrivals in the fierce panda terminus with an album release on September 29th. Long term fans will be delighted to know that the fivesome continue to plough a particularly fretful furrow with their clanging guitars lurching rhythms and half-howled vocals. ?You & Me? is the name of the album NONG 56CD is the catalogue number and The Walkmen will be releasing the really-rather-ace single ?The Blue Route? on October 27th to tie in with the live shows. The Walkmen you may recall have released three albums since forming in New York City in 2000 and they rocked a great many indie dancefloors with the frankly less-than-happifying single ?The Rat?. www.myspace.com/thewalkmen is the site with the bite... |
