the track is a dreamy number
with reverb drenched tambourine and hand-claps inspired by 60s and Northern Soul stompers
with a strong rhythm section throughout and atmospheric guitars. Lyrically
‘You’re Always Miles Away’ was written about a vacant employee
desperate to get away from the mundanity of her works and her surroundings in the checkouts and aisles of an anonymous British supermarket.
