a blurrily shameful fierce panda one sheet The Band: BAG OF CANS The Release: 'SORRY MUM THAT I WAS HUNGOVER THIS CHRISTMAS' The Format: DIGITAL SEASONAL SINGLE The Release Date: DECEMBER 8TH 2022 The Digital Link:orcd.co/hungover_this_christmas The Truth: Bag of Cans, under the watchful eye of silky veterans Fierce Panda Records, have been cajoled into “doing a Mariah”. With Christmas in their hearts and Drambuie in their bloodstreams, the Norwich boys now look forward to releasing ‘Sorry Mum I Was Hungover This Christmas’ and all the fame, fortune and royalties that come with a festive hit. Expect sleigh bells, wrapping paper effects achieved with a Wotsits crisp packet and all manner of Yuletide japes. Gone are the snarling guitars seen on previous Lammo-endorsed tunes ‘Pub Money’ and ‘Spin Cycle’, replaced with a waltzing blues rhythm and a one-man “brass section” who the band are choosing to keep anonymous due to security- and jealousy- related reasons. ‘Sorry Mum…’ has been a set closer through all the seasons for two years and is popular with the band’s fans and mothers alike, the latter being grateful their sons are finally expressing some forgiveness for all the drunken Christmases…albeit in song-form only. The last year has seen the band force their brand of surrealist indie punk on despairing members of the public at festivals and venues around the country. Highights include an appearance at Reading Festival 2022, packed out shows at Norwich Arts Centre and Shoreditch Dream Bags Jaguar Shoes as well as BBC Introducing and 6 Music plays of their current 'Pub Money' single. To celebrate the release of 'Sorry Mum That I Was Hungover This Christmas' Bag Of Cans will be tipping their tins at these snowy shows here:
