A fierce panda 25 production The Band: HOWS HARRY The Track: ‘I DREAMT ABOUT YOU LAST NIGHT’ The Format: DIGITAL SINGLE The Release Date: JANUARY 18TH 2019 The Digital Link: smarturl.it/howsharry_idayln The Truth: “Those lovable dark pop connoisseurs” HOWS HARRY hail from south-east London, and consist of schoolfriends Ike Foulkes (vocals), Loz Andrew (drums), Rupert Colegrave (guitar) and Tom Davies (bass). Together they have been hard at work in their home studio and out on the long and winding road over the past 18 months building a reputation as a thrillingly dedicated live band. Now comes a single release on fierce panda records to kick off the New Year. The track is called ‘I Dreamt About You Last Night’ and a sassy blend of beefy beats and swaggering synthetics it is too, like the bolshiest bits of the early 1980s pop scene bashed together with some 1975-esque post-modern swagger. The release is The Chosen One as part of the latest A&R partnership between the global musical community that is reverbnation and fierce panda which saw over 4000 acts submit their resounding sounds for the chance of a release on the tiny indie label, which itself celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2019. They’ve got good form, have Hows Harry: having garnered support from the likes of tmrw Magazine, BBC Introducing, Sofar Sounds, ItsAllIndie and Amazing Radio amongst others they’ve sold out their last four euphoric London shows and embarked on four nationwide tours to date, supporting the likes of Youth Club, Wildhood, Courts and Marsicans, Having already released two hyperkinetic singles, “Totem” and “Skeleton”, the Hows Harry boys are coolly ambitious and fiercely focused on 2019 being their breakthrough year. With ‘I Dreamt Of You Last Night’ launching them into January and a slew of follow-up releases already planned they’ll be continuing, as one reviewer wrote, to implore their fans to “dance through the heartbreak” some more.
