Hackney soul boy Albert Gold celebrates the release of a brand new single called ‘Give In’ on August 24th by playing a trio of autumnal gigs, including a headline show at The Waiting Room, as per the gig information below.

‘Give In’ features up-and-coming electro producer Marble Empire, who by some dazzling coincidence will also join Albert on The Waiting Room bill. A dizzying musical combination it is too, as ‘Give In’ is all-over-the-place in the best possible way, with sweet-hearted synths fuelling a chorus which positively gallops right over the horizon and then all the way back again.

‘Give In’ follows the ‘Second’ EP which was indeed the second of three Albert Gold Extended Play releases slated to come out over the course of the year, the first being the summertime ‘17 ‘Oxygen’ EP. Bolstered by live shows for Vice, Communion, Tipping Point, BMI / The Fix, London In Stereo, Sofar Sounds and Good Karma, and backed by consistent airplay support from Huw Stephens at Radio 1 and Gary Crowley at BBC Introducing London, Albert Gold put the finishing touches to the ‘Second’ EP at Red Bull Studios in South London late last year.
