ALMA is a London-based ambient group formed in 2014 and fronted by songwriter Pete Lambrou. They headline London Lexington on October 31st prior to heading out on a European tour to tie in with the reissue of their splendidly slow-burning ‘ALMA’ album – originally released last summer – on limited edition vinyl on November 4th. Not only that, but the entire ‘ALMA’ album has been reworked track-by-track by various nefarious post-rock and experimental characters, and if you buy the vinyl you will get a free download of that very ‘Reworks’ album. The ‘Reworks’ album is also available to buy on its lonesome from iTunes right now, and the tracklisting looks like this:

"We'd always liked the idea of having different versions of ALMA tracks," they explain. "For example the live versions are different to the album, and even then there's different live versions depending on whether we've got the strings or not (or whether Pete can work his loopstation at the time...). So the 'Reworkings And Remixes' mini album is the next natural progression for our debut. We've been huge fans of each 'reworker' for a long time, it's inspiring and really interesting to see where other people take each song.

"We'd also been planning a collaboration of some sort with Tom Hodge for the past year, being huge fans of Piano Interrupted and Second Moon of Winter, so it made sense to kick it all off with Tom's version of 'The Lighthouse'." Indeed 'The Lighthouse' (Tom Hodge Rebuild) is ALMA's sublimely slow-moving new digital single, available now with an impact date of November 25th to coincide with a European tour and their biggest headline show so far at the Lexington on Halloween – full dates below.

2. The Lighthouse (Tom Hodge Rebuild) Tom Hodge is a BAFTA nominated composer and pianist from London. As well as being part of Piano Interrupted and Second Moon of Winter he has worked on multiple films and collaborations with artists such as Max Cooper, Silvana Schröder and Daft Punk.
3. To The Stars (Charlie Barnes Remix) Charlie is a multi-instrumentalist solo artist on Superball Music, plus he also plays in Bastille on the side...
4. If You Believed You Were An Island (Oliaxel Remix)
