| They moved from South London to Brighton but they never forgot their roots nor nothing. Their name is The Maccabees and their fierce panda single 'Latchmere' is about a leisure centre in Battersea and follows up their debut 'X-Ray' single on Promise Records from 2005. It also hurls the band into the very midst of the current writhing seething pile of indie chaos and 'Latchmere' is so terrific we are releasing it on 7 and CD on April 10th. To coincide with this mighty release The Maccabees head out on the road in Liverpool on March 31st but there are also some choice shows to be had this week especially an Xfm night at the Barfy on March 9th.
