| Following Art Brut's Top 20 placing in the NME's end of year polls the Germans and Americans have been scrambling to acknowledge the greatness of the 'Bang Bang Rock & Roll' album: a flotilla of excellent poll results in Germany included the band being voted number 5 in Rolling Stone magazine's albums of 2005 while Intro placed the quintet at number 3 in their list Bands Of The Year. Over in the United States meanwhile those cheery Pitchfork.com peeps reckon that 'Bang Bang...' is the third best album of '05. Never ones to rest on their laurels Art Brut kick off 2006 with a European tour which visits France Italy Austria Switzerland Czech Republic and of course Germany. |
