The Tracklisting: So in March 2017 the esteemed and slightly dreamy fierce panda label launched the fierce panda 2017 EP Club, whereby six brand new acts each released one new digital EP over the course of 12 months with the sterling support of Arts Council England. One entire goose-honking year on we are on the cusp of reaching the end of the EP Club road. To celebrate the journey from those six EPs we have corralled together six of the finest tracks to create 'The fierce panda 2017 EP Club EP' digital compilation, released on March 23rd. Not only that, but four of the acts have been chosen to play the EP launch party, which happens to double up as fierce panda's 24th birthday party, and those acts look like this:
Club Fandango & fierce panda present: GHOST SUNS are an electropop boy/girl duo who’ve transported the Transeuro expressionism of ZTT and Mute to the musing chimneys of Muswell Hill. Their ‘We Are Not Good People’ fierce panda EP Club release was the first out of the blocks last March. www.facebook.com/ghostsuns LEAONE is a brooding croonster from Beccles in East Anglia who comes backed by guitar and keys and a heap of airplay love from BBC Introducing in Norfolk and Suffolk. Similarly traversing the borders between melody and melancholy, his ‘Oh, My Sweetest Love’ EP was released in May 2017. www.facebook.com/hisnameisleaone FIGHTMILK are four feisty indie kittens from the outer reaches of Northern London who make vibrantly chewy punkpop noises. Their 'Pity Party' EP was released in July 2017. www.facebook.com/fightmilkisaband THE CARESS are three brothers from Kent who make darkly romantic alt.pop which blows kisses at the ‘60s and nods knowingly at the ‘80s indie fraternity. Their ‘You Say I Kiss Like A Girl’ fierce panda EP Club release came in September 2017. www.facebook.com/thecaress CAVALRY are five heroically brooding sorts from Liverpool who make the sort of swelling, swirling alt.rock noise which comes dressed in black and stands by the bar looking a bit surly. Their 'See The Night Perform' EP appeared in the darkness of December 2017. www.facebook.com/cavalryofficial AUGUST CHILD is an acoustic troubadour from East London via the heart of Hertfordshire who lurks in the flamboyantly maudlin middle ground between Elliot Smith and Jeff Buckley. His ‘Burn For The Tide’ fierce panda EP Club release is the last of the six, coming out on February 23rd. www.facebook.com/augustchildofficial
