** GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY SELL OUT LONDONS ICA! ** ** AND ANNOUNCE FULL NATIONAL SPRINGTIME TOUR!!! ** ** AND BRAND NEW SINGLE RELEASE!!! ** The Band: GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY The Release: UNDER THE WATERWAY The Formats: LIMITED EDITION 7¬ù & DOWNLOAD The Label: FIERCE PANDA The Catalogue Number: NING 228 The Release Date: MAY 24TH 2010 ** Goldheart Assembly are still comprised of six young men who live in London Town. They consist of Jake Bowser (keyboards, vocals), James Dale (vocals, bass), Nicky Francis (drums, vocals), Thomas Hastings (vocals, various instruments), John Herbert (vocals, guitar) and Dominic Keshavarz (lead guitar, vocals). ** Under The Waterway is the second single to be taken from Goldheart Assemblys debut album, Wolves And Thieves which was released to a chorus of critical approval in March on fierce panda. Shiny lead-off single King Of Rome gleaned plays across the Radio 2 board and sat on the BBC 6 Music A List for a month and, if anything, Under The Waterway is even more huggable and radio-friendly, representing as it does the pop pinnacle of the Wolves And Thieves opus with its sun-dappled melodies, creamy harmonies, cheeky ukulele and cheerily melancholic edge. ** Wolves And Thieves itself is no slouch in the appreciation stakes either: a glowingly knowing NME lead album review was followed up with a rousing double page feature while The Guardian, Mojo, Uncut, The Sun and The Independent all raised their metaphorical glasses to a panoramic soundscape which sounds epic without being pompous, poppy without sounding trashy and blindingly cool with apparently very little effort. ** At the end of March Goldheart Assembly headlined the ICA ‚ a show which sold out six weeks before the doors opened ‚ and announced a full spring UK tour culminating in their biggest show to date at Londons Kings College. Full details are below with festival dates being added at an admirably alarming rate. And the Great British Summer is where Goldheart Assemblys star will really shine bright ‚ much of their audience was cultivated at 2009s open air festivities, where the sextets blend of knockabout banter and intensely serious musicianship charmed all and sundry. Which brings us rather neatly back to the sunshine swoonery of Under The Waterway, a festival anthem in waiting. Just watch out for those melancholic clouds¬¶
