** FIERCE PANDA ROCKS OCTOBER WITH LABEL NIGHTS!! **

**NEW SIGNINGS GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY TAKE CENTRE STAGE!!!**

Lovers of lovingly played alt.guitar.pop will be delighted to hear that fierce panda has signed dreamy melodic troubadours GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY. The sumptuous London six-piece, who massaged the festival masses with their summertime So Long, St Christopher single and recently supported Low Anthems on tour, are tidying up their debut album which will see the (b)light of day in January 2010. Before then GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY will feature prominently at a pawful of fierce panda nights scattered through October, and those nights look something like this¦

PANDA GIG NUMBER ONE

The Thing: fierce panda, Club Fandango and 7digital present: Labelled With Love

The Date: WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 14TH 2009

The Bands: GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY + THE MOLOTOVS + ROGUE STATES

The Place: LONDON BORDERLINE

(Orange Yard, nr Manette Street, London W1D 4JB. Tel: 020 7734 5547)

The Doors: 7.00pm / The Damage £7.50 in advance from www.ticketweb.co.uk

The Truth: LABELLED WITH LOVE is a monthly event brought to you by those inventive scoundrels at Club Fandango. Much like Toblerone or Dairylea, Labelled With Love is a perfect triangular shape forged by a guest record company choosing the entertainment, 7digital.com providing the label-specific online backing and Team Fandango providing the resources and the crackers.

Already since the summer the likes of Memphis Industries, Stolen Recordings, Distiller, End Of The Road and Kids have hosted evenings and now fierce panda steps up to the pop plate with GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY being ably supported by articulate British Pop (nb NOT Britpop) scoundrels THE MOLOTOVS and broodingly epic panda guests from Birmingham, ROGUE STATES.

PANDA GIG NUMBER TWO

The Thing: fierce panda and In The City present: Ning The City

The Date: MONDAY OCTOBER 19TH 2009

The Place: MANCHESTER Cellar Vie (18-22 Lloyd Street, M2 5WA)

The Bands: GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY + THE MOLOTOVS + CAPITAL + TAXI TAXI! + THE NEAT + THE SPORT

The Doors: 7.00pm ‚ midnight

The Damage: £20 with wristband from www.inthecity.co.uk

The Truth: each and every year fierce panda makes the pilgrimage to Manchester to present a showcase at In The City. Each year we have great fun. So much fun in fact that our memories are sizzled like sausages, although we do remember a particularly great show with Art Brut, Apartment, Absent Kid and other bands beginning with A all playing a sold out Night & Day. 2009 ‚ the fifteenth In The City bash, fact fans - sees the panda vacate the Northern Quarter for the first time ever, to be moved to within crawling distance of the Midland Hotel and thus squeezed ever further into the ample bosom of the In The City organisation. This year sees the aforementioned GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY and THE MOLOTOVS joined by panda labelmates CAPITAL (epic synth-stormtroopers to a tee) and TAXI TAXI! (delicate acoustic Swedish twin sisters whod go well with a cup of tea). Not only that, but opening up this frankly hectic six band bill we have special-guest-types THE SPORT bringing their finely-honed alt.rock from Stoke-On-Trent, and THE NEAT, hauling their ear-rattling indiepunk from Hull. 2009 also sees the In The City people reaching out to the good (non-industry) punters of Manchester, with the offer of a super advance £20 wristband for all the live showcases. And you cant say furrier than that.

PANDA GIG NUMBER THREE

The Thing: fierce panda and SWN presents¦

The Bands: GOLDHEART ASSEMBLY + THE MOLOTOVS + CATE LE BON + TAXI TAXI!

The Place: CARDIFF Y Fuwch Goch (Womanby Street, CF10)

The Doors: 6.00pm

The Cost: £17 one day wristband / £45 three day wristband via www.swnfest.co.uk

The Tale: Running like an eager rabbit from October 22nd to the 24th 2009 sees the third year of the handsomely urban SWN festival in Cardiff. This is the pandas first visit, at the behest of the mighty Huw Stevens no less, and the bill sees Goldheart Assembly, The Molotovs and Taxi Taxi! reprise their In The City roles with the added bonus of the mighty Super Furry Animals-endorsed talents of CATE LE BON also very much on display.

PANDA GIG NUMBER FOUR

Lastly, but my no means whatsoever leastly, your old school indie-tastic friends and ours THE RULING CLASS are playing a special one-off show for our very own re-launched monthly Club Panda night, and that relaunched night looks like this¦

The Thing: CLUB PANDA PRESENTS¦

The Bands: THE RULING CLASS + LION CLUB + THE LOUCHE + S.C.U.M. DJs

The Place: THE LEXINGTON

(96-98 Pentonville Road, London N1 9JB Tel: 0207 837 5371)

The Date: THURSDAY OCTOBER 22ND 2009

he Doors: 8.00pm / The Damage: £6.00 from www.wegottickets.com/event/59623

The Back Story: Club Panda is a monthly night brought to you by the kind beasties behind fierce panda records. A very long time ago (ie 1999) it took place at the Bull & Gate. A much shorter time ago (ie 2008) it was reborn under the auspices of Club Fandango at the 229. And then not very long ago at all it was operating out of the Dublin Castle in Camden Town until Club Fandango said farewell to that esteemed venue on September 8th 2009 and headed off into the sunset for the launch of a slew of rather ace new nights, of which Club Panda at The Lexington on the third Thursday every month is one. THE RULING CLASS, who still sound a little bit like if The Stones Roses had signed to Creation instead of Silvertone way back when, will be supported by heroically minimalist teen dreamers LION CLUB and the yearning countrifried ticklings of THE LOUCHE.
