Everyone's favourite dynamic Danish duo THE RAVEONETTES who received a lovely thumbs up from Glasvegas singer James in this week's NME are prowling back into action. Firstly as we may have said before THE RAVEONETTES make a stealthy return to the live fray at London 229 on October 25th 2008 at the behest of those shirt-tastic dudes from Ben Sherman. Support is from Liam Fray from The Courteeners + The Displacements + Peggy Sue + Story One and tickets are on sale right now from www.livenation.co.uk so they are. If Sharin Foo happens to look a tiny bit younger and a tiny bit taller that's because it isn't her - sister Loui Foo will be standing in while Sharin Foo stays at home bathing in the maternal glow exuding from new baby Molly Foo Edwards Simple eh? To celebrate all of these events there will be a veritable tsunami of Raveonettes releases before the end of the year with one 7 and no fewer than three download EPs heading our way like a mad big wave. The first EP which is electronically themed is available on September 23rd ie any hour now and features the all-new songs 'Way Out There' 'Blood Red Leis' and 'Vintage Future' and is available from all the usual itunes / Emusic / Napster-esque outlets. Then comes an old school Raveys rockin' EP in November and a Christmassy EP in December. And in between released on October 27th to tie in with the 229 show we will finally see the singular release of 'Blush' which as any fule nose is a pop-mungous highlight of the 'Lust Lust Lust' album and will come backed with a never-released-before track called 'Black & White' which has been tied in with a Gap television campaign in the USA. Gap? Ben Sherman?? The whole world has gone bloomin' branding mad mate!!! |
