| After months of intense negotiations THE SPINTO BAND have signed with fierce panda and announced a full UK tour. The dates kick off at the Borderline on September 25th and run through until mid-October - check the panda gig guide for details. Busting forth outta Delaware in Americaland you may recall that a couple of years ago THE SPINTO BAND caused mass panic in the A&R ranks and regaled the world with the fizzing whizzing guitar poppery of the ?Nice And Nicely Done? album. Fast forward to 2008 and the freshfaced sextet have gawn and done it again with ?Moonwink? to all intents and porpoises 11 tracks of bendy indiepop behaviour that very occasionally sounds like ELO being played backwards. OLE indeed. The ?Moonwink? album will be released on September 22nd with an excellently-titled single ?Summer Grof? steaming out of the traps on September 15th. www.myspace.com/thespintoband |
