** HATCHAM SOCIAL GET READY FOR TEXAS ** ** PLEDGE CAMPAIGN IN FULL SWING** "Good to know some things never change: Hatcham Social still know how to whack acoustic guitars into subversive indie anthems while injecting both melodic brilliance and humour into the equation. Awesome." - Cindy Suzuki, Artrocker London Town-based alternative quartet HATCHAM SOCIAL continue their comeback into the indie fray with a trip to Austin, where they will be playing this years SXSW to promote their sophomore effort "About Girls". If youre amongst the lucky people heading over to Texas, you will be able to catch Hatcham Social at their official showcase, as well as at some unofficial parties..details will be announced soon, so watch this space.
?ìAbout Girls¬ù heralds the return of this long-admired combo with a revamped line-up and a feisty, refreshed pop attitude. The new arrivals are David Claxton (guitar) and Riley Difford (bass), who join Hatcham's centrifugal brotherly song writing force of Toby Kidd (vocals, guitar) and Finn Kidd (drums, vocals). 'About Girls' is quite a departure from the synth-dappled sheen of 2009's debut 'You Dig The Tunnel, I'll Hide The Soil¬ù and its described by the band as "less layered with more concise lyrics which are more playful and honest and from real life."
To precede the release of ?ìAbout Girls¬ù, Hatcham Social are also running a special Pledge campaign, which gives you the chance of being directly involved with the record: not only you will get the music before everyone else, but also you will be sent weekly updates from the band and will be able to choose personalised merchandise and exclusive content. |
