** HATCHAM SOCIAL GET READY FOR TEXAS **
** PLEDGE CAMPAIGN IN FULL SWING**
"Good to know some things never change: Hatcham Social still know how to whack acoustic guitars into subversive indie anthems while injecting both melodic brilliance and humour into the equation. Awesome." - Cindy Suzuki, Artrocker
London Town-based alternative quartet HATCHAM SOCIAL continue their comeback into the indie fray with a trip to Austin, where they will be playing this year’s SXSW to promote their sophomore effort "About Girls". If you’re amongst the lucky people heading over to Texas, you will be able to catch Hatcham Social at their official showcase, as well as at some unofficial parties..details will be announced soon, so watch this space.
“About Girls” heralds the return of this long-admired combo with a revamped line-up and a feisty, refreshed pop attitude. The new arrivals are David Claxton (guitar) and Riley Difford (bass), who join Hatcham's centrifugal brotherly song writing force of Toby Kidd (vocals, guitar) and Finn Kidd (drums, vocals). 'About Girls' is quite a departure from the synth-dappled sheen of 2009's debut 'You Dig The Tunnel, I'll Hide The Soil” and it’s described by the band as "less layered with more concise lyrics which are more playful and honest and from real life."
