The Sort-of-Truth: CHILI PALMER is the proverbial enigma wrapped in a ball of dark, dark wool and locked in a box of maddening mystery. No gigs. No rules. No clues.

What we do know is that ‘A.O.M.L.’ is the second ever, ever, ever CHILI PALMER release. What we also know is that, like some groovy kind of lovelorn lockdown marriage of convenience, the musical relationship between the two shadowy protagonists behind the CHILI PALMER project has exploded into deliciously positive life in these desperately uncertain times. Now comes the time to feel some more of their end-of-summer breeze.

Because the end result is a sumptuously-delivered gumbo of soul and funk which nods admiringly at The Blackbyrds and Luther Vandross but brings a modern romantic zing to thoroughly aerate the hipster airwaves of today. “All of my love, I’ll give it to you / All of my love, I’m gonna stay true,” they croon over the silkiest slice of pop hookery since The Stylistics turned on the style in the ‘70s.
