** THE MOLOTOVS PLAY MINI-ALBUM LAUNCH PARTY ** ** AT THE HOXTON BAR & KITCHEN ** ** ON MONDAY SEPTEMBER 21ST ** Doing exactly what it says in the headline, impeccably mannered indiepop pups THE MOLOTOVS headline a launch party for their And The Heads Did Roll mini-album on MONDAY SEPTEMBER 21ST at HOXTON BAR & KITCHEN. The evening is hosted by the esteemed NIKA Club ‚ see myspace.com/notinkansasanymoreclub - and support comes from Ungdomskulen + North Sea Oscillation. Advance £5.00 tickets are available from www.wegottickets.com/event/58470 and THE MOLOTOVS WILL BE ONSTAGE AT 10.20PM. And here comes the science bit¬¶ The Band: THE MOLOTOVS THE MOLOTOVS consist of Will Daunt (vocals / guitar), Henry Walton (guitar), Dom Millard (keyboards / guitar), Iain Lock (bass / sax) and Guy Henderson (drums). These five multi-tasking gentlemen have spent much time over the past few months dabbling with the lightest of melodies, perfecting the most fragrant of guitar lines and impressing the likes of Steve Lamacq with their wondrous stories and frankly ace live shows. THE MOLOTOVS started their summer of fun by appearing on the BBC Introducing Stage at Glastonbury. They will end it with the release of a terrific six-track mini-album entitled And The Heads Did Roll on fierce panda on September 21st and going on tour with The Boxer Rebellion. Along the way they have headlined the Club Fandango BMI sessions, supported fierce panda mgmt stable mates The Ruling Class at the 100 Club, played Fistful Of Fandango with Art Brut and hosted their very own exceedingly sold out single launch party at the Lexington on August 14th. And The Heads Did Roll features debut 7¬ù single Flowers, which came out on Cool For Cats late last year, and aforementioned follow-up Come To Grief. Throw in four other bonzer brand new tunes unavailable anywhere else in the known universe and we reckon that equates to twenty minutes worth of top notch articulate tunesmithery which nods knowingly at the cultured perambulations of NYC ghosts such as Vampire Weekend and The Walkmen (who they supported at the pandas 15th birthday show at the Scala in February) while also following an eloquent home grown guitar-pop lineage which runs from The Smiths to The Maccabees, all recorded on a budget of five shillings and a can of Fanta. But dont just take our word for it ‚ let your dogs run free here, here and here¬¶ SEPTEMBER 21ST: LONDON HOXTON Bar & Kitchen (mini-album launch party) SEPTEMBER 22ND: CARDIFF Barfly** SEPTEMBER 23RD: SOUTHAMPTON Joiners** SEPTEMBER 25TH: LONDON STOKE NEWINGTON Bardens Boudoir SEPTEMBER 26TH: BRISTOL Thekla** SEPTEMBER 27TH: BIRMINGHAM Hare & Hounds** SEPTEMBER 28TH: LIVERPOOL The Masque** OCTOBER 1ST: GLASGOW ABC2** OCTOBER 2ND: NEWCASTLE Other Rooms** OCTOBER 3RD: MANCHESTER Roadhouse** OCTOBER 5TH: LEEDS The Faversham** OCTOBER 6TH: LONDON HIGHBURY Relentless Garage** OCTOBER 14TH: LONDON BORDERLINE (fierce panda night w/Goldheart Assembly) OCTOBER 19TH: MANCHESTER IN THE CITY Cellar Vie (fierce panda showcase) OCTOBER 24TH: CARDIFF SWN FESTIVAL Barfly (fierce panda showcase) ** = support slots with The Boxer Rebellion |
